Stormwater Drainage / Control Systems
Kahl Environmental Services (KES) provides specialized construction services for property owners with stormwater control and treatment needs. Wherever stormwater collection and treatment is required such as with large parking lots, vehicle maintenance/washdown yards, construction sites, etc., KES can customize a solution for handling water. KES installs drainage controls such as swales, catch basins, and conveyance systems to direct stormwater runoff from a site. Where solids, grease and oil occur, KES installs capture systems designed to remove settleable solids and oil at a predetermined removal efficiency and at a predetermined design flow.
Such systems help to ensure that Best Management Practices (BMPs) are being implemented in accordance with stormwater regulations. BMPs are defined as general good housekeeping practices, schedules of activities, pollution prevention techniques, educational practices, maintenance procedures, prohibitions of practices and other management practices. BMPs also include treatment practices, operating procedures, and practices to control site runoff, spillage or leaks, sludge or water disposal, or drainage from raw materials storage. Our consulting group also provides stormwater compliance services to help clients navigate through the many new regulations relating to stormwater.
