Containment Systems
Kahl Environmental offers several alternatives for isolating hazardous wastes in order to minimize their potential impact to sensitive environmental receptors and/or the public.
For sites requiring protection from horizontal migration of contaminants, KES can construct barrier walls (synthetic, steel, etc.), grout curtains, and reactive funnel & gate systems.
For vertical containment, KES can also design and construct natural or synthetic soil caps and liners.
Where physical containment is impractical, KES can install and operate hydraulic containment systems (groundwater pumping or injection) or utilize the latest in biotechnology to minimize impacts and migration of contaminants.
